Web Training Course - Updating your site yourself using Dreamweaver
In our fast moving business society many SME businesses employ an administrator to handle their day to day tasks. It has become apparent that updates to the company website are becoming too expensive using traditional web designers for menial tasks such as updating words, news items or up coming events. Many companies now wish for this to be handled in-house. Our course is designed specifically for this purpose and will enable your admin clerk to successfully update basic elements of your company website themselves.
Typical scenario one
Your company has the option of having a standard HTML website built for say £1500. You have been given the option of adding a content management system so you can update the site yourself but this restricts areas of updating and adds a further £2500 to the set up costs. Your first thought is 'why is it so expensive?'. This is basically because a whole database system has to be built with an on-line control panel in order for your additions to appear on the site. This may still only update a few pages making your updating capabilities limited so you would like to have the in house knowledge to update the whole site.
Typical scenario two
Your company has an existing site and makes two or three changes a week through your existing web designer. Typical updating costs are around £45 per hour which leaves your company with a bill of roughly £100 per week. This cost, and even if it is for only two or three updates a month, can be deleted from your outgoing accounts by simply having a member of staff trained as part of their day to day role.
What Pipedream can do for you
Pipedream has had experience in the field of Web Design for over 10 years and built many very successful sites during this course. We now offer an introductory one day course using the program Dreamweaver which is the industry standard for web design. This course takes your employee through the basics of updating a site themselves. Although it will be necessary for your company to obtain a copy of Dreamweaver, we anticipate that the costs saved would pay for both the training fees and cost of the application within the first 6 months, basing your updates on two to three updates a month.
